Pooley Bridge Farmers' Market is held on the last Sunday every month April to September, 10.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m.
Behind the Sun Inn at Pooley Bridge.
During the winter months it is held at Rheged on the A66

Dalemain Historic House and Gardens hosts a variety of Craft Fairs, Concerts, Vintage Car Rallies, etc., throughout the year, including the world's first Marmalade Festival which gets bigger and better every year.
Garden and tearoom open from mid February.

Hutton in the Forest, about seven miles from Aira Force on Ullswater, is the historic home of Lord and Lady Inglewood, featuring fine furniture, tapestries, portraits, a beautiful walled garden, topiary terraces and woodland walk.
House and Garden open Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Mondays end of April to end of September.

The Spirit of Christmas

A Christmas Cruise with Ullswater ‘Steamers’ in association with Dalemain Historic House & Gardens –  Pooley Bridge at 11am - £20 inc Cruise & Lunch.
Make this Christmas truly magical, with the return of a Ullswater ‘Steamers’ and Dalemain festive cruise. Our winter wonderland package combines a relaxing cruise on one of our ‘Steamers’ followed by a delicious Christmas lunch at Dalemain House, served in the medieval hall. Vegetarian option is available.

11.30 am - 13.00 pm - £15 Includes Christmas present from Santa RRP £10 and glass of mulled wine and mince pie for the parents as well as a Christmas card containing a future free voyage with us in 2010. Creative Days with a Difference at the Cycle Cafe a variety of creative arts and country craft workshops are run on some weekdays in Greystoke  (5  miles north of Ullswater )  throughout the year. Learn the art of rag rug making ~willow weaving~ dry stone walling ~ breadmaking ~ reflexology~ gps & sat nav~ glass painting ~gluten free baking ~ learn to draw etc.etc   for further courses and details of spring and summer programme see www.greystokecyclecafe.co.uk

Lowther Horse Trials and Country Fair  an annual must for carriage driving, show-jumping, hunting, shooting and fishing enthusiasts, in nearby Lowther Park. They don't have a website, so  for further information telephone 01931 712378.

Skelton Show at Hutton in the Forest Traditional agricultural show with horses, dogs, cattle, sheep, feathered and furry animals, the latest and vintage farm equipment, events and competitions. A great day out for the family.
