Blacksmiths Cottage is a luxuriously appointed holiday cottage in Pooley Bridge at the northern tip of Ullswater in the Lake District National Park. This newly refurbished romantic and charming 17th century cottage sleeps two and is sure to appeal to couples looking for a cosy atmospheric cottage to relax, unwind and take in the stunning scenery of the Northern Lakes.
The holiday cottage is located on the north eastern edge of Ullswater, in Pooley Bridge. This is a popular holiday destination with a wealth of amenities from local shops, pubs, restaurants all within short walking distance of the cottage. There are a range of local water sport centres, including the Ullswater Yacht Club, as well as pony trekking and of course cruises on the lake on the famous Ullswater Steamers. Ullswater has many walks to suit all abilities; from low walks along the Lake shore to more challenging fells like Helvellyn. All have stunning views guaranteed.
Blacksmiths Cottage is located within the village, with an open rural outlook to the rear. It is within a 5 minute drive of the renowned Sharrow Bay award winning Michelin star restaurant and just a 10 minute drive to the Cumbria county town of Penrith. The cottage has recently been refurbished to a high standard and is now luxuriously appointed with designer fabrics and using antique and country style furniture whilst retaining many original features.
