Nearest Pubs: The White Lion and Patterdale Hotel in Patterdale are a 10 minute walk away. Glenridding, a 15 minute walk away, is home to The Travellers Rest, 2 pubs attached to Glenridding’s hotels.
Nearest Shops: The Patterdale Village Store and Post Office, is a 10 minute walk away. In Glenridding there are 2 general stores (one with a cashpoint), a newsagent, Catsytcam outdoor shop and a petrol station and local garage.
Transport Links
By Road: About 30 minutes drive down the A592 from Junction 40 of the M6 (Penrith). About 40 minutes from Junction 36 (via Kendal and Windermere. Keswick about 20 minutes by car.
By Train: Nearest Stations at Penrith and Windermere
By Bus: Regular bus service to Glenridding from Penrith (all year) and Windermere (summer only).

Welcome to Home Farm Bed and Breakfast in Patterdale. Our home is in a superb location on the edge of Patterdale and Glenridding, with great views of the fells. Our family run B&B has two twin bedrooms both with shared bathroom facilities. Tea and coffee making facilities are available in each room, along with a hairdryer and complimentary toiletries. All rooms have great views of the surrounding fells.
We offer excellent home cooked full English breakfasts. Pre booked packed lunches and evening meals are also available on request.
Our bed and breakfast has ample private parking, and guests have use of our garden with its magnificent views and waterfall. Inside we have a guest lounge which has satellite TV and a public payphone (mobile signal can be restrictive and is usually Vodafone only).
Please note that our B&B is non-smoking and whilst we love animals and are pet owners ourselves we regret that we cannot accept dogs in the bed and breakfast.
Prices start from just £25 per person per night for bed and breakfast.
Our Bed and Breakfast is on the edge of Glenridding and Patterdale and is ideally placed for those looking to make the most of Ullswater, walk up Helvellyn or the surrounding fells, or looking for a Patterdale B&B on the Coast to Coast walking route. We are literally 2 minutes from the path.
