Tour 1 - Bowness Windermere and Grasmere Tour
Glenridding - Patterdale - Windermere - Bowness - Grasmere
Approx 5½ -6 Hours
Driving over the famous Kirkstone Pass down to Windermere and on to Bowness, giving you a chance to visit the Beatrix Potter Attraction, the waterfront, and the great range of local cafes and shops. You can also take an optional boat trip to Ambleside. From Bowness we travel along the edge of Lake Windermere through Ambleside and Rydal to Grasmere, home of William Wordsworth. You will be able to visit Dove Cottage and the the Wordsworth Museum, as well as the church and the range of great local shops including the famous Grasmere Gingerbread Shop. The return journey to Ullswater is via the scenic St John’s in the Vale.

Tour 2 - Explore Ambleside
Glenridding - Patterdale - Kirkstone - Ambleside
Approx 4- 4½  Hours
Once again passing over Kirkstone Pass, and the Kirkstone Inn and down the famous “Struggle” to Ambleside, past the Kirkstone Green Slate Mine into Ambleside. Ambleside has a rage of great attractions including Bridge House, now run by the National Trust, as well as St Mary’s Church, Zefferellis, the Armitt Museum and the famous Hayes Garden World. There are a huge selection of shops including an extensive range of outdoor walking and gear shops. There is also a superb selection of cafes and restaurants for lunch. We then retrace our route back to Patterdale and Glenridding.
Tour 3 - Keswick and Castle Rigg
Glenridding - Ullswater - Dockray - Troutbeck - Keswick
Approx 4- 4½  Hours
To reach Keswick we travel along the western shore of Ullswater, past Glencoyne Bay, spring time home of  Wordsworth’s Daffodils. We go past Aira Force and through Dockray and Troutbeck along the old Roman Road to Keswick - with magnificent views to Blencathra. We visit Castle Rigg Stone Circle, which is though to be 1,000 years older than Stonehenge. We then continue into Keswick itself which has a great range of local attractions including the Theatre by the Lake, The Bond Museum, the Cars of the Stars Museum, and the Cumberland Pencil Museum. Again there are a good range of outdoor shops and local craft shops in the village as well good cafes and restaurants.
