Annual Patterdale Parish Boundary Walk

The Annual Patterdale Parish Boundary Walk

The Patterdale Parish Parish Boundary Walk takes place on the first Saturday of July every year. This years event is on the 7th July 2012 . This annual event is a lot of fun for those taking part and raises much needed funds for St Patrick’s Church in Patterdale and the Patterdale Church of England Primary School. There are three walks to suit all abilities and interests. The main walk is involves 30 miles and 10,000 feet of ascent, starting at Glencoyne Bay, and doing “the round” via Helvellyn, with the mid way point at the top of Kirkstone, and then returning on the eastern side of the Dale via Place Fell back into Patterdale. The second walk is this second part of the main walk, from Kirkstone top to Patterdale. There is also a more leisurely 7 mile walk down hill from Kirkstone to Patterdale which is popular with children.

The walk is open to everyone and is a great way to see the splendid and beautiful views and scenery around Ullswater, as well as providing plenty of personal challenges along the way. It is important if you would like to take part that you register with the organisers beforehand. Please click here to contact the organisers.

Please note that people take part completely at their own risk and should read and agree to the Advice Guidelines on the Walk website.
