Summary: We are open 7 days a week and sell everything you need whether you’re staying in the area or passing through. We sell hot and cold snacks and drinks, fresh ice cream, newspapers, walking and camping gear. In fact pretty much everything!
Opening Hours: Open 7 days a week, from 08:30 to 17:00 (later in the summer. Half day closing in the winter on Wednesday and Sunday. See website for post office opening times.

We are located in the heart of Patterdale opposite the White Lion Inn.
By Road: About 30 minutes drive down the A592 from Junction 40 of the M6 (Penrith). About 40 minutes from Junction 36 (via Kendal and Windermere. Keswick about 20 minutes by car.
By Train: Nearest Stations at Penrith and Windermere
By Bus: Regular bus service to Glenridding from Penrith (all year) and Windermere (summer only).

A very warm welcome to the Patterdale Village Store and Post Office. We are open every day from 08:30 and hope we have everything you could possibly need to make the most of your time around Patterdale and Ullswater in the Lake District.
We sell the full range of fresh food, drinks, beers, wines, spirits, hot and cold snacks, crisps, snacks and chocolate. We make packed lunches to order and also sell hot bacon and sausage sandwiches on freshly baked bread and rolls.
We also sell an extensive range of gifts, including a wide range of Patterdale Terrier Gifts and also Coast to Coast Walking merchandise, including t-shirts, hats, mugs, badges, books and DVDs. These are available to buy in the shop and also online via our website. We deliver anywhere in the world so you can order on your way through and we will post to your home.
The post office is open most weekdays - please check our website for details of opening hours.
We also have a cash back service available on purchases over £10.
So if you’re just passing through or are staying around Ullswater for a week or more then we should have everything you need.
We are very dog friendly so please feel free to bring your favourite friend in to meet us in the store.
