More information on Waternook Lakeside Accommodation
Waternook Bed and Breakfast lies at the foot of Hallin Fell on the shore of beautiful Ullswater in the Lake District.  We provide a quiet, relaxing stay, a sumptuously comfortable bed, a hearty Cumbrian breakfast (with produce sourced locally) and warm hospitality.
Our bed and breakfast enjoys over a quarter of a mile of Ullswater lake frontage, has a boat house and jetty and its own 27 acres of the Lake District exclusively for guests to explore at their leisure. Waternook is perfectly placed for the more adventurous guest wanting to explore Ullswater from the lake and we are proud to offer private charters around Lake Ullswater.
We are a short 500 metre walk from the hamlet of Howtown and Howtown Pier where the Ullswater Steamer docks and can ferry you to Pooley Bridge, Patterdale and Glenridding and some of the most beautiful walks in Lakeland.
Ullswater offers something for everyone, including fishing, canoeing and boat hire; bird, red squirrel and wildlife watching (with red deer in Martindale); fell walking with Hallin Fell, High Street, Pikeawassa, Fusedale, Beda Fell, Boredale and Place Fell on the doorstep.
